2.3 Density. Density of the material shall be equivalent in weight of 1.48 to 1.65 grams per cubic centimeter (0.053 to 0.059 pound per cubic inch) or 19 + 1 percent of base density of 8.23 grams per cubic centimeter (0.294 pound per cubic inch).
2.4 Identification and markings. Identification and markings shall be permanent and legible and shall include, as a minimum, the CID number A-A-52167 and the manufacturer's batch or lot number.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Recovered material. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection. The contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspections (examinations and tests).
4.2 Product conformance. The products shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producer's own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance.
5. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2).
